DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE OF DIE-CUTTING

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The aim of this project is the design and manufacture of two dies for the bending, cutting and notching of strapping, contributing to the optimisation of the company’s production process. 

The development of the project began with the creation of the designs using Catia V5 software. Subsequently, multiple tests and modifications were carried out to ensure that the dies complied with the established requirements. During the manufacturing phase, certain discrepancies between the design and the final product were identified, which led to adjustments being made to some functional parts to improve their performance. 

The project is currently in its final phase, in which the necessary modifications are being implemented and subsequently validated. With the execution of this work, the aim is to improve the efficiency of the manufacturing process, offering workers a more precise, comfortable and higher quality tool.

The main objective is to obtain a versatile and accurate tool that allows for the controlled bending of strips of different dimensions, materials, and thicknesses, ensuring uniformity and repeatability in the process.
