This project challenges students to act as polymer specialists, designing and manufacturing plastic blends with specific properties using LDPE and PP in varying proportions. They will transform these blends through extrusion, film blowing, compression molding, and injection molding, then characterize the results and propose innovative applications.
The project integrates technical skills in polymer processing, quality control, and maintenance, while fostering transversal competencies like teamwork, digital communication, and creative problem-solving using the ETHAZI methodology.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
Master industrial polymer processing and transformation techniques.
Formulate, produce, and characterize new LDPE/PP plastic blends.
Integrate technical maintenance skills with transversal teamwork and digital competencies.
Propose innovative real-world applications for the newly developed materials.
Execute professional project management, documentation, and results presentation.
