Development of an Autonomous Smart Cart for Medicine Transport

This project involves the design and fabrication of an autonomous, wheeled cart for transporting medicines within hospitals and care homes. The SCLF integrates multiple vocational cycles, covering mechanical design, metal construction, welding, automation electronics, and nursing ergonomics to create a functional healthcare solution.

The project replicates a full industrial value chain, from initial CAD design and prototyping with 3D printers to final assembly and validation. It utilizes technologies like Arduino for automation and Odoo for project coordination, providing students with hands-on experience in developing a smart, collaborative product for a real-world application.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT

Design and develop an autonomous smart cart for automated medicine transport in healthcare facilities.

Integrate multiple vocational disciplines including metal construction, automation, electronics, and nursing.

Implement a full product development cycle from CAD design and prototyping to final assembly and testing.

Utilize Industry 4.0 technologies like Arduino, 3D printing, and CNC machining for smart manufacturing.

Validate the prototype’s functionality, safety, and usability through real-world healthcare application testing.Co-fu
