On 13 January 2026, Mecanic Vallée held a press conference in Figeac (Lot, France) to present a new working group dedicated to Artificial Intelligence (AI), bringing together companies and training providers. This initiative builds on the outcomes of the LCAMP project.

Through its activities, LCAMP has explored the concrete impact of AI on industrial professions. This work was supported by extensive research, including field surveys, the analysis of more than 300 articles and publications, and contributions from over 200 European experts.
These efforts led to the development of a Proof of Concept (POC) at European level, aimed at better understanding and anticipating the transformation of skills and jobs in the manufacturing sector.
Building on these results, Mecanic Vallée has adapted the LCAMP approach to its regional ecosystem. A survey conducted among its member companies highlighted a clear need for support in integrating AI into industrial practices and skills development.
In response, the MV/AI working group was launched in November 2025, fostering collaboration between industry and training stakeholders at local level. The group met again on 3 February 2026, and will continue its activities with a next session scheduled for 29 April.
This initiative illustrates how European project outcomes can be translated into concrete regional actions, supporting companies and training systems in addressing the challenges and opportunities brought by Artificial Intelligence.
