


On 24 December 2025, the LCAMP Türkiye Stakeholder Meeting was held at the GEBKİM Conference Hall, bringing together key representatives from industry, vocational education, and public authorities to discuss the role of LCAMP in advancing skills development for Advanced Manufacturing and ensuring the platform’s long-term sustainability.
Organised in three thematic sessions, the event provided a space for dialogue and exchange on how LCAMP connects education and industry, supports the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies, and responds to evolving workforce needs.
Strengthening collaboration between industry and education
The meeting opened with welcoming remarks by Haldun Toygarlı, Deputy Director of the GEBKİM Organized Industrial Zone, who underlined the importance of collaboration between industrial zones, education providers, and public institutions to address skills challenges and support innovation.
From an industrial perspective, Gizem Bekleyen, Business Development and Project Specialist at GEBKİM Organized Industrial Zone, presented “Applications of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies in LCAMP”. Her presentation highlighted LCAMP’s concrete contributions to industry, showcasing how the platform supports companies in adopting advanced manufacturing solutions and discussing approaches to ensure the continuity and sustainability of LCAMP services for the industrial ecosystem.
Advanced Manufacturing in vocational education
The educational dimension of LCAMP was addressed by Metehan Güllü, Head of the Chemical Technology Department at GEBKİM Vocational High School. In his presentation on “Collaborative Learning Factory Based on Advanced Manufacturing in Vocational Education”, he focused on the collaborative learning factories developed within LCAMP and their role in enhancing hands-on, practice-oriented training for learners.
A student-centred approach to skills development
Finally, Hasan Burçin Menteş, Vocational Education Coordinator at the Kocaeli Provincial Directorate of National Education, emphasised the value of integrating industry and education through LCAMP. In his contribution on the “Student-Centered Advanced Manufacturing Technologies Platform”, he highlighted how LCAMP supports skills acquisition both during formal education and throughout working life, responding to the needs of students, employees, and companies alike.
By bringing together regional stakeholders from industry, education, and public authorities, the LCAMP Türkiye Stakeholder Meeting reinforced the project’s mission to build strong, sustainable connections between skills development and industrial transformation, supporting the future of Advanced Manufacturing in Türkiye and beyond.
