PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Construction and Manufacturing of a Tidal Energy Prototype: Rectifier for Wave Harnessing.
The project consists of the design and development of a prototype rectifier for capturing and harnessing tidal energy. This innovative device has been conceived with the aim of converting the kinetic energy of the waves into usable electrical energy.
The mechanical design of the prototype has been meticulously elaborated and has been filed with the relevant patent body, thus ensuring the intellectual protection of the development. The creation of five initial prototypes is envisaged as part of the design validation and optimisation process before proceeding with their construction and installation at the specific facilities in Mutriku.
The Laudioalde research centre will play a key role in the initial phase of the development, providing assistance in the selection of materials, the preparation of detailed plans, fluid simulation and the printing of prototypes with specialised materials. In addition, extensive mechanical testing and trials will be carried out to ensure the efficiency and durability of the device.
This project represents a significant step towards the implementation of sustainable and renewable technologies in the field of tidal energy, thus contributing to the advancement of research and development of innovative and environmentally friendly energy solutions.
