The EARLALL Annual Meeting 2025 brought together regional representatives, education providers, and European partners in Mechelen (Belgium) to discuss how to strengthen the attractiveness and impact of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Adult Learning and Education (ALE).
This year’s edition, held under the theme “Attractiveness of Vocational Education and Training (VET) Systems,” provided a key platform for exchange on how innovation, collaboration, and regional partnerships can make VET and lifelong learning first-choice options for learners and workers across Europe.
Among the initiatives presented during the event was LCAMP, which was promoted as an example of how European collaboration can boost innovation and excellence in VET.
During the session, Inge Gorostiaga Luzárraga, Director General for Digital Transformation and Advanced Learning at the Ministry of Education, Basque Country and Vice President of EARLALL, invited regional members and representatives from Flemish technical schools to join the LCAMP Alliance and to take part in the project’s upcoming LCAMP Student Hub and Conference, which will take place from the 21-23 April 2026 in the Basque Country.
Her intervention underlined how LCAMP connects VET providers, universities, industry partners, and regional authorities to strengthen cooperation in advanced manufacturing and develop future-oriented skills ecosystems. By fostering innovation in teaching and learning, LCAMP supports the shared European goal of making VET more attractive, responsive, and closely aligned with industry transformation.
The project’s presence at the EARLALL Annual Meeting was particularly relevant, as LCAMP embodies many of the principles discussed during the three-day event:
- building partnerships between education and industry,
- integrating cutting-edge technologies into training, and
- creating flexible and engaging learning pathways that respond to regional labour market needs.
The Annual Meeting also included study visits to Flemish VET centres, where participants experienced first-hand how innovation and practical learning are shaping the next generation of skilled professionals.
At Technisch Atheneum Keerbergen (TA Keerbergen), participants joined interactive sessions demonstrating new teaching methods and technological tools, such as DiagnoseCar in the automotive sector.
At GO! Busleyden Atheneum – Campus Stassart , presentations highlighted dual learning programmes and hands-on training in fields such as defence, security, hospitality, and personal services, showing how students acquire both technical and transversal skills to succeed in the labour market.
These visits reflected the same spirit driving LCAMP: bridging the gap between education, technology, and industry to ensure that learners are equipped for Europe’s rapidly evolving industrial landscape.
The EARLALL Annual Meeting 2025 reaffirmed the importance of regional cooperation in shaping the future of VET and lifelong learning. Projects like LCAMP play a key role in this effort by connecting regional ecosystems, promoting innovation in education, and ensuring that vocational training remains a driver of competitiveness and inclusion across Europe.
Through its engagement in the event, LCAMP continues to strengthen its network and mission: to empower educators, learners, and industries to co-create the skills of the future.
