LCAMP participated in the 3rd Forum on Vocational Excellence

From September 10th to 12th, the 3rd Forum on Vocational Excellence took place at Lyon’s Eurexpo, France. The event brought together 700 participants and was organised in parallel with the WorldSkills 47th Final Competition.

The Forum provided a platform for exchanging best practices, sharing lessons learned, and fostering smart connections between various Centers of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs). Notable CoVEs, such as LCAMP, and national initiatives like Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications and the TKNIKA network, were key participants.

The first day focused on policy discussions and keynote speakers, featuring roundtables on the definition of excellence in vocational training and the future role of CoVEs. Mr Rikar Lamadrid, Director General for Technology and Advanced Learning in the Basque Government, participated in one of these discussions, emphasizing that collaboration and idea-sharing are essential to creating a common standard that fosters innovation across Europe.

On the second day, participants engaged in hands-on learning through six Sectoral Vocational Villages and workshops. LCAMP had a presence in the “Industry 4.0 and Transportation of the Future” village, where representatives from TKNIKA, Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications d’Excellence Industrie du futur, and Mécanic Vallée showcased the benefits of the LCAMP Alliance. Among other notable figures, LCAMP representatives also had the chance to engage with Mr Bruno Bonnell, General Secretary for Investment of FRANCE 2030.

‘The LCAMP project is a perfect example of European collaboration in the field of vocational training. This forum has not only enabled us to make it better known but has also allowed us to make new contacts that will serve us well in the future. We hope to see them again at the second conference in Sweden on 13,14 and 15 May 2025. says Nathalie Lavaurs, operational manager of Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications d’Excellence Industrie du futur.

The forum was closed with visits to the Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications and participation in the WorldSkills 47th Final Competition.
