LCAMP exchanges with Swedish regional skills experts

On 22 September 2023, LCAMP partner, Simumatik was invited to introduce the project at the Västsvenska EU-konferensen 2023 (West Sweden EU Conference) in Skövde region (Sweden).

The West Sweden EU Conference (Västsvenska EU-konferensen) is an opportunity for knowledge and inspiration for colleagues and decision-makers who work for local and regional development from a European perspective. LCAMP was invited to participate in the “learning factory” session.

LCAMP inspired Swedish regional colleagues

Mr. Ayani (CEO of Simumatik) introduced LCAMP’s main progress such as the first Alliance Strategic Plan, the Skills and Job Observatory report and the Open Innovation Community’s first steps. Furthermore, LCAMP supports and empowers regional Advanced Manufacturing Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) to become more resilient, innovative, and better equipped to train, upskill, and reskill young- and adult students for successfully facing the digital and green transitions. The twin transition and the skills anticipation are crucial for many European regions, and so for the Swedish experts that participated in the West Sweden EU Conference. That’s why LCAMP’s progress and expectations impressed the Conference participants, who showed their interest in the LCAMP Alliance.

As Mr Ayani explained:

“the Green and Digital Transformations challenges are not exclusive for one region but resonate across Europe as a whole. That’s why so important to keep the conversation within regional stakeholders and find solutions together.”

LCAMP will continue to promote stakeholders of exchange via its regional events in the partner countries: France, Spain, Italy, Türkiye, Germany, Sweden, Canada and Slovenia.
