LCAMP present at the Spanish Congress of Vocational Education and Training

The 8th Congress of the Spanish Association of Vocational Education and Training, FPEmpresa-Asociación de Centros de FP, took place on 26-27 October 2022, gathering more than 650 participants. The LCAMP: Learner Centric Advanced Manufacturing Platform for CoVEs was introduced by Joxu Arana, principal of the consortium partner, Miguel Altuna VET Centre on 27 October 2022.

Under the title “Building the VET school of the future” , the Kursaal Conference Centre in Donostia-San Sebastian (Basque Country) hosted the debates on the challenges that Vocational Education and Training centres will face in the medium term, what digital tools they will need and what role companies will play in relation to these same schools and students.

In this context, one of the sessions was dedicated Centres of Vocational Education Excellence (CoVES). Jose Manuel Galvín from European Training Foundation introduced the CoVES:

Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) are formed by networks of partners that develop local “skills ecosystems” to provide high quality vocational skills to young people and adults, and contribute to regional development, innovation, industrial clusters, smart specialisation strategies and social inclusion.

In the round dedicated to sharing experiences about the CoVES, Joxu Arana, principal of the consortium partner, Miguel Altuna VET Centre, had the opportunity to present LCAMP to an audience of more than 180 participants. The audience showed interest about the concept of the COVES and also to strengthen the collaboration with the concept of developing local and regional “skills ecosystems”.

LCAMP partners will continue to disseminate the projects in different events and trade fairs across Europe and beyond. Don’t miss our next introduction at the 2022 Forum on Vocational Excellence – “Global partnership for Vocational Skills on 15-16 November in San Sebastian (Basque Country).
