Türkiye Stakeholder Meeting Held in Gebze

In May 2026, the LCAMP Turkey Stakeholder Meeting, was held at the Gebze Chamber of Commerce, bringing together key stakeholders from education, industry, and vocational training.

The event, held in two structured sessions, served as an important platform for dialogue on the future of advanced manufacturing skills and digital transformation in Türkiye and across Europe. Representatives from the Kocaeli Provincial Directorate of National Education, GEBKİM Organized Industrial Zone, and GEBKİM Vocational High School participated in the discussions, focusing on the LCAMP Project from the perspectives of education, industry collaboration, and digital transformation. The participants also reviewed the activities implemented within the project to date and exchanged views on the development of a sustainable and scalable platform that will support long-term cooperation between stakeholders.

Throughout the meeting, emphasis was placed on strengthening the link between vocational education and industrial needs, particularly in the context of rapidly evolving technologies and the green and digital transitions shaping the future of work.

As part of the programme, Hasan Burçin Menteş, Vocational Education Coordinator at the Kocaeli Provincial Directorate of National Education, provided valuable insights into Centres of Excellence and the growing importance of student-centred approaches in advanced manufacturing technologies. His presentation highlighted the role of innovative training models in equipping learners with future-ready skills.

Gizem Bekleyen, Business Development and Project Specialist at GEBKİM Organized Industrial Zone, delivered a presentation titled “Applications of LCAMP Advanced Manufacturing Technologies,” focusing on the practical contributions of the project to industry and its potential to enhance innovation capacity within the manufacturing sector.

Dr. Volkan Alparslan Kılıç, Electronics Teacher at Körfez Vocational High School, presented on “Digital and Green Transformation,” addressing ongoing industrial transformation processes and underlining the importance of sustainability-oriented production models in modern industry.

The meeting concluded with a shared understanding of the importance of continued collaboration between education providers, industry stakeholders, and regional actors to ensure the successful implementation of the LCAMP platform and its long-term impact.
