LCAMP Partners Kick Off 2025 with a Productive Gathering in Slovenia

LCAMP started the year on a high note with the 5th partner meeting in Celje, Slovenia, on January 14–15, 2025. Hosted by the Association of Slovene Higher Vocational Colleges (Skupnost višjih strokovnih šol RS), the event brought together project partners to share updates and plan for the year ahead.

The meeting was opened by Samo Seničar, a councilman of Celje, who emphasized the significance of vocational education in addressing today’s social and economic challenges. As a passionate advocate for social initiatives, Seničar’s message inspired attendees to continue driving LCAMP’s mission forward.

A highlight of the event was celebrating LCAMP’s recent achievement in Turkey. This honour, secured through public voting, underscores LCAMP’s role in revolutionizing vocational education and its commitment to shaping a skilled workforce for the future.

With two years remaining until its conclusion in June 2026, LCAMP is at its midway point and progressing steadily. Project coordinators reported that all deliverables have been submitted and nearly all milestones achieved, keeping the initiative on schedule.

Key updates included:

  • WP3: Skills Observatory: review of country-specific reports on the battery industry’s green and digital future.
  • WP4 & WP7: SME Digital Transformation: focused on helping SMEs evaluate their digital readiness (SCANS) and implementing necessary changes and likewise with vocational education and training (VET). Partners held a workshop to understand better how to implement the SCANS at VET level.
  • WP5: Micro-Credentials Catalogue: introduction to the development of a comprehensive database to enhance workforce skills through flexible learning pathways.
  • WP6: Collaborative Learning Factories: presentation of the research paper Industry 4.0 technologies and plans for research dissemination at an international conference.
  • WP2: LCAMP Alliance and Future Activities: upcoming events include a webinar on advanced manufacturing skills in March 2025 and the LCAMP Conference in May 2025.

The second day of the meeting was dedicated to platform enhancements (WP8), including workshops with stakeholders to refine features and ensure alignment with their needs. Partners also reviewed dissemination efforts and financial updates under WP9.

LCAMP partners will reconvene in May 13-15, 2025 for the LCAMP Conference in Sweden, continuing their collaboration to transform vocational education across Europe.
