LCAMP: Factories of the Future and Sustainability – The Role of New Generations

In April, the LCAMP project brought together VET school leaders and principals from across Sweden for an exchange on the future of skills, sustainability, and collaboration in vocational education and training.

The event, hosted by CNG and welcomed by its Deputy Principal Stefan, provided an opportunity to present the LCAMP Alliance and discuss its role in strengthening cooperation across regions and institutions. Participants explored how European initiatives can support the development of skills aligned with the needs of the green and digital transitions.

In addition to introducing LCAMP, the discussions focused on the opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ programme, particularly in terms of mobility, partnerships, and long-term cooperation between vocational education providers.

The meeting also highlighted new collaborations emerging from the project, including a student mobility exchange established with Miguel Altuna LHII, further strengthening links between participating institutions.

As part of the programme, participants took part in a study visit to Siemens Energy, where they gained insights into industrial practices and the evolving skills requirements linked to sustainable manufacturing.

Overall, the event underlined the importance of equipping new generations with the competences needed for the future of industry, while reinforcing the role of collaboration between education, industry, and regions in building more resilient and sustainable skills ecosystems.
