PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Smart Collaborative Learning Factory (SCLF) at LH Santurtzi creates a realistic Industry 4.0 learning environment integrating Mechanical Manufacturing, ICT, Electronics, Renewables, and Chemistry. Students design, produce, monitor, and validate components using CNC, IoT, robotics, AI, and digital-twin technologies. The project promotes real-time data analysis, predictive maintenance, and sustainable solutions such as green hydrogen. It strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration across the entire value chain. Overall, SCLF prepares learners for the technological and sustainable transformation of modern advanced manufacturing.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
Integrate Industry 4.0 technologies—such as IoT, AI, robotics, digital twins, and CNC—in vocational training to mirror real industrial environments.
Promote interdisciplinary collaboration among different VET departments, simulating a complete industrial value chain.
Enhance students digital, technical and problem-solving skills throught hands-on, project-based learning.
Improve sustainability and energy efficiency by introducing eco-desing principles and green hydrogen technologies.
Strengthen predictive maintenance and data-driven decision making using real-time monitoring, analytics, and IoT platforms.
