PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project involves the design and implementation of a Smart Collaborative Learning Factory (SCLF) at the BIDASOA center, focused on the manufacturing, customization, packaging, and palletizing of a “txotx” (a typical Basque product). The SCLF simulates a real-world value chain, integrating Industry 4.0 technologies such as CNC, collaborative robotics, IoT, ERP (ODDOO), digital simulation, and augmented reality, with an emphasis on sustainability and interdepartmental collaboration.
The goal is to provide students with a hands-on, multidisciplinary, and industry-oriented learning environment, developing skills in advanced manufacturing, digitalization, automation, and process management.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
To develop a realistic learning environment that simulates a complete industrial value chain.
To integrate Industry 4.0 technologies such as robotics, IoT, and digital twins into vocational training.
To promote interdisciplinary collaboration among students from different technical fields.
To foster sustainable manufacturing practices through eco-design and recyclable materials.
To strengthen ties with local industry by creating a market-ready, customizable product.
