LCAMP, Factories of the Future and sustainability: the role of new generations

On 3 October 2025, more than fifty students from Istituto Torricelli (Lombardy Region, Italy) took part in the event “Factories of the Future: sustainability? The new generations are the answer”, organised by AFIL – Associazione Fabbrica Intelligente Lombardia as part of the Milano Digital Week programme, and hosted by Innovhub – Stazioni Sperimentali per l’Industria.

The event was part of AFIL’s activities within the Vanguard Initiative (where the Cluster plays the role co-coordinator of ESM – Efficient and Sustainable Manufacturing Pilot) and the LCAMP project, with a view at further engaging young students with regard to the topics of digitalisation and sustainability in the industry sector, with several insights offered by representatives from the innovation ecosystem.

Speakers from Innovhub, Inxense, Autodesk, Zest Group and AFIL shared experience, perspectives and EU-related initiatives with the students, highlighting how new generations of skills and professionals are key to driving the transition towards a sustainable and digitalised industry of the future.
